The Ministry of Hajj and
Umrah announced the success of the Ramadan season, the second peak season
conducted during the COVID-19 Pandemic and that no cases of COVID-19 were
reported among worshipers or pilgrims.
Earlier
the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah had mandated that all those seeking to visit the
Haramain Sharifain had to get immunized with a vaccine against COVID-19.
A source at the Ministry said that this requirement will remain in place and that
there is ‘no going back.
Those
wishing to perform Umrah will be able to book their permits every 15 days provided
that their statuses are immune on the health app “Tawakalana”
